1. My best photo for lines is the second picture, of the bike rack and the spokes of the wheel. It's a great photo about line, because it has the straight up lines that are part of the bike rack, and it also has diagonal lines that are kind of also going in a circle of the spokes of the tire.
2. My best photo for shapes is the first one, of the gears. It's a great photo about shape because it has different sizes, and it's a unique shape that you don't see too often, and it's creative with the look of it. 3. I furthered the emphasis of the subjects in Camera Raw by toggling the clarity, the contrast, and the blacks mostly. I worked a lot with shadows and highlights to make it look the best. 4. I do love my work, because it shows my creativity, and my eye for good editing and cool subjects. 5. I loved that we got to do 10 pictures total, and that the shapes and lines were halfway easy to find, and that it was just fun all together. I didn't really hate anything about this assignment. It was one of my favorites.

1. This last project was a little wacky, but it was pretty fun. Mostly easy too. I didn't love it, but I didn't hate it, because it was a little weird, but at the same time it was pretty fun.
2. I chose one picture that was of me laughing, because it was pretty extreme, considering I had panda ears on. I chose another picture that was of Adin with a cookie in his mouth, because it was really silly and fun to edit. I chose the third picture of Adin doing a "like a boss" face with money on his shoulder and sunglasses. 3. I chose my final piece as my best because I could use just a few of the editing tools and have it still look really cool with it all black and white besides the money and the glasses, but the background is edited too. 4. The adjustment layers were pretty cool to use, and I learned that sometimes they have a specific trick to them and sometimes it doesn't always look the best on the place you've selected to edit. 5. My favorite adjustment layer was probably the saturation layer because you can make things super bright or black and white. 6. I do love my final piece because it's really cool-looking and different from all of my other pictures in this assignment. 1. I chose goldfish because they were an easier subject and I could take the pictures in school, yet still make them look good with edits and right positioning.
2. It was actually fairly easy to get my food to look desirable, and the only struggles I had was trying to find different ways to position the goldfish so they weren't all the same, even though they ended up being pretty much the same. My greatest success was the first picture with the goldfish that looked pink on parts with the glasses. I was really proud of that one. 3. I think that photoshop isn't too hard to work with, but in some ways it is. The easiest to learn was how to work with text and make things look sharper and other things like that. 4. My "ad" is kinda just showing to be creative while enjoying food :P 5. I do love my work because I love editing the pictures and taking them :P 1. I chose these 3 images because they were the only 3 images that actually looked semi-decent. The first picture I took with a small handheld mirror, so I kinda thought it looked really cool with the pinecone in the mirror, so that it's kinda not a perfect flawless picture, which is what I wanted. My second picture, I liked how I emphasized the red reflection and how everything else just kinda hightlights it. My last picture, I actually took out of the second picture, and just made it look cool in my opinion.
2. My first picture was of a pinecone in a mirror, obviously :P The meaning behind this, is that you can see the clarity and the sharpness of the actual pinecone, but in the mirror, it's all blurry and imperfected, which is kind of how we see ourself. We see ourselves as less perfect than we actually are. We see flaws, but the mirror is a false representation of our own beauty. Our beauty is on the inside and what others see in us, not what we see in ourselves, because most of the time it's less than we actually are. 3. It wasn't that complicated of an assignment. It was much easier than the portraits I thought, because I can't really take good pictures of people's faces, or my own for that matter. It wasn't the hardest, but it wasn't the easiest either. 4. I do love my work, because I think I brought a creative aspect to these pictures that I haven't so much in some of my other pictures. 5. I shot about 10-15 pictures for this, and I technically only used two pictures, because my third picture is part of the second one, because my other pictures weren't really all that good. This picture kind of represents how you can stand out in a crowd and how you don't have to blend in and be "normal" or "perfect" like everyone else. You can be yourself and stand out. I decided to use this photo because it was one of the only pictures I found that I took that actually had a significant meaning that I could explain. I also just really liked the editing I did with it, so I think it turned out really well. In Camera Raw, I used all of the settings that I could, which were: Exposure, Contrast, Blacks, Fill Light, Recovery, Clarity, Vibrance, Saturation, Temperature, Lense Vignetting, and the color adjuster. I loved this assignment, because it wasn't too difficult, but it was also really fun to get creative with what I could do with the pencils. I do love my photo, because it has sharp edges and looks really cool and I love the message I said it meant.
1. My photos I chose were my favorites because they were the only ones that looked decent out of all the pictures I've taken of people. Portraits are not my strong suit, and so I could only really find these ones as my good ones.
2. The Camera Raw settings I used were the adjustment brush, the contrast and sharpening and other various tools, and on one picture I used photoshop to make it a mostly solid background. 3. This assignment was really hard, because I don't really take good pictures of people's faces, and I can barely take pictures of myself, so this was a real challenge. 4. I don't LOVE my photos, but I like them quite a bit. I probably could've done way better, but I would've needed a lot of time to do it. 1. The hardest part of this project was just being able to take good quality pictures with the cameras up close, because sometimes I have shaky hands and a lot were blurry.
2. The easiest part of this project was the editing and choosing the pictures I was going to use. 3. I learned from this assignment that there's actually a macro setting on the camera, and that you have to be patient with the auto-focus, because sometimes it doesn't work right away. 4. My favorite part of this assignment was taking the pictures and editing them. 5. I do love my work, because it shows my creativity and how I can perceive the world through the camera. 6. Macro is extreme close-up photography, usually of very small subjects, in which the size of the subject in the photograph is greater than life size. Macro also normally is very clear in the front, but blurry in the background, because the camera is focusing on the macro object. Reflection Questions:
1. The hardest part of this project was making up my mind on what I wanted to do with the editing and which things looked the best on the picture. 2. The easiest part of this project was taking the pictures and deciding which ones to use, and it was a little easier to edit because it was in black and white. 3. I discovered that there are a lot of interesting angles and things that the school has, and like, the murals are really cool because if you have the right editing tools, you can make it look like you're part of the mural and such. 4. My favorite part of this project was getting to go take pictures, and editing the pictures. 5. I do love my work, because even though it's only in black and white, I got to show my creative side in picture-taking and editing. 6. I chose this image because I knew that I wanted to make it look like Adin was a part of the mural itself, and there were some pictures that I didn't take very well, and this one just stood out to me. |
